History

1952	Founded as Nakamura Manufacturing (Nakamura Seisakusho) in Sumida Ward of Tokyo, and begins the sale of industrial rubber products.
1955	Incorporated as NAKAMURA MFG. Corporation
1962	Matsudo Factory is completed in Ohashi, Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture.
1964	Becomes a dealer of SEKISUI CHEMICAL Co., Ltd. and begins the sale of the Plastic Containers. Begins the manufacture and sale of the Plastic Benches.
1966	Begins the design, manufacture and construction of the Stand Bench using the PVC bench material. The Stand Bench is selected as the main stand for the Sapporo Olympic Winter Games opening ceremony, and then adopted by Tokyo's National Stadium, Nishigaoka Succer Stadium, Chichibunomiya Rugby Stadium, etc.
1969	Begins the sale of the Home Bench Series (currently, "Sports Bench").
1971	Begins the sale of the FRP Shelter, becoming a pioneer of using the word "Shelter" for an exterior product.
1972	Begins the sale of the Porcelain Table Stool Series, which is the first exterior product in Japan to use Arita porcelain ware as its material. Begins the design, manufacture and construction of ready-to-assemble stand benches, which is adopted as the spectator stand of the main venue of the Ibaraki National Athletic Meet.
1978	The new office and factory are completed in Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture. Integrates Matsudo Factory, Misato Factory and the delivery center into one and begins operation. The Steel Bench installed in Showa Kinen Park receives the Good Design award.
1981	Becomes the first manufacture in Japan to standardize ‘endai' (outdoor bench) as a public-space exterior product and carry it in product catalogs.
1986	A wood machining factory is completed in Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture.
1988	Incorporates Nakamura Hirosaki Co., Ltd. in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, as the central key factory of the NAKAMURA Group.
1990	The company building and factory of Nakamura Hirosaki Co., Ltd. are complete and go operational.
1991	Enters into a sales tie-up with Glenwood Systems Pty. Ltd. for playground equipment in Australia.
1992	Develops and begins the sale of the PC Foundation Blocks, which help builders reduce the amount of work on site.
1993	The first year of J-League. Constructs the Ready-to-assemble Stand Benches in Hitachi Kashiwa Football Stadium and the home ground of JEF United Ichihara by use of the dry construction method. Installs Japan's first barrier-free playground equipment "Playdium Normalization Series," which allows children to play while in their wheelchairs, in Showa Kinen Park. Begins the manufacture and sale of the System Design Deck Type A, which reduces the amount of work on site by panelizing the Jarrah material.
1995	The new company building (current company building) is completed in Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture. Begins the manufacture and sale of the football free kick practice machine "Benkei." Enters into a sales tie-up with little tikes commercial play structures for playground equipment.
1997	Installs the large indoor playground equipment "Family Fan Center" at an amusement facility in Okinawa Prefecture.
1998	Incorporates Nakamura Shiratori Co., Ltd. in Shimizu City (currently, Shizuoka City), Shizuoka Prefecture. Begins the manufacture and sale of iron playground equipment and roller sliders. Develops and begins the sale of universal furniture, with the theme of "Ease of use and comfort for anyone." Begins the manufacture and sale of the System Design Deck Type B, the Tropical Fence and the Garden Exterior, for gardening purposes and as exterior structures for housing.
1999	The free kick practice machine "Benkei" receives the Good Design Award.
2000	Opens Matsudo Delivery Center. Registered as a first class architect office.
2003	Develops and begins the sale of the complex playground equipment "Nature Builder (NB) Series," which is based on earth color. Acquires ISO 2000 certification.
2004	Certified by the Japan Park Facilities Association as a manufacturer authorized to carry the SP Mark on its products
2008	"Toride no Mori," large-scale playground equipment installed at Children's Natural Park in Yokohama City, receives the President of Parks & Open Space Association of Japan Award in the material, construction method and facility category in the 24th Urban Park Contest. The Katarai Bench (Bench for Chatting), developed through industry-university collaboration with Chiba University, receives the Good Design Award.
2009	Develops and begins the sale of "Browny House," complex playground equipment for infant which mostly consists of curves and heterogeneous shapes, and gains significant popularity.
2010	Installs the Bench in Cultured Marble, originally designed with the image of an ocean, at Tokyo Metropolitan Symbol Promenade Park in Odaiba.
2011	Develops and begins the sale of the Kamado Bench II (oven bench) and the Shuno Bench II (storage bench), both featuring functions for response to disasters and comfort as furniture at the same time.
2012	Completes "Kasumi☆Yumekujira," large-scale playground equipment constructed in a lottery-subsidized project, at the Kasumigaura Green Park in Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture. "Kasumi☆Yumekujira" receives the President of Parks & Open Space Association of Japan Award in the material, construction method and facility category in the 28th Urban Park Contest. Develops and begins the sale of the Solar Illumination Lamp, the Universal Handrail EX and the Community Planter, under the concept of "disaster prevention," "barrier-free" and "community."
2013	Installs two pieces of large-scale playground equipment, one of tower type and the other of barrier-free design, at Showa Kinen Park. The Community Planter receives the Director-General of the City Bureau of MLIT Award in the material, construction method and facility category (small-scale facilities) in the 29th Urban Park Contest, and the IAUD Award 2013 from the International Association for Universal Design.
2014	Develops and begins the sale of the Fitness Age, a health appliance developed under the concept of "anti-aging," and school playground equipment, which proposes new styles of jungle gym and overhead ladder.
2017	Merges with Nakamura Shiratori Co., Ltd., one of group companies and Nakamura Shiratori Co., Ltd. is dissolved. Nakamura MFG. Corporation succeeds to all the rights and the obligations of Nakamura Shiratori Co. ltd. as Shizuoka Branch Office of Nakamura MFG. Corporation.
